What are the expectations of you?
Employees undertaking an apprenticeship should approach their role with dedication, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. It's essential to actively engage in the training provided, seeking guidance and feedback from mentors and supervisors. Consistent attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude are key to making the most of the apprenticeship experience. Additionally, demonstrating initiative, taking on responsibilities, and striving for excellence in both practical skills and theoretical knowledge will contribute to a successful apprenticeship journey.
An employee can expect that the company will support covering fees and costs through the company's Apprenticeship Levy. Employees should understand that this support isn't guaranteed by contract and can be withdrawn under certain circumstances, such as unsatisfactory work performance or leaving the company. If an employee receives support and fails to meet study requirements or make satisfactory progress, they may need to repay any funds received outside of the Levy. Additionally, employees should give at least one month's notice to their line manager if they need time off for study purposes, with the understanding that operational needs will be considered when approving such requests.
